Highlights of the WNBA All-Star game: Olympians lose, but Arike Ogunbowale earns MVP

In front of a sold-out crowd at Footprint Center, Team WNBA defeated Team USA 117-109 in the WNBA All-Star game. After a fiercely contested first half, Team WNBA's Arike Ogunbowale emerged victorious with her second MVP nomination and a record-breaking amount of points scored in a WNBA All-Star game.
After receiving a motivational speech from coach Cheryl Miller, Ogunbowale scored 34 points (10-for-20 FG) in the second half after being held scoreless in the first. She helped Team WNBA increase their lead to as much as 20 points by making eight of her thirteen three-point attempts. Ogunbowale finished with three rebounds, two steals, and six assists.
